Our Most Requested Services For Commercial Roofing
Roof & gutter cleaning:
We recommend this in late fall and early spring!
We hand clean roof and remove moss and debris. We will also clean out the
gutters and make sure downspouts are not clogged up.
Building crickets:
We do this a lot on commercial buildings but sometimes
homes as well. Flat sections are likely to pool water and cause a lot of
issues underneath. Crickets will disperse the water and have it drain off
correctly.
Ventilation boxes:
Commercial buildings often do not have enough venting.
We custom build venting boxes to meet ventilation requirements and
protect the building from future molding etc.
Aluminum roof coating:
We are able to apply 1-2 coats of Aluminum coating to commercial buildings or any flat roof surface. This is a very cost efficient way to help extend the life expectancy of your roof.
Regular roof maintenance:
We are able to provide a “package” to book
regular cleanings for residential and commercial. We can do anything from
1-4 cleanings a year depending on the roof/areas needs.
Complete venting/draining system overhaul:
-Install smart vent: sometimes homes need EXTRA venting and we are able
to install smart vents that sit lower on the roof for extra coverage
– Commercial buildings often do not have enough draining spots we are
able to increase the scupper sizes or add more to make the draining run
more smoothly
– We can upgrade your current venting to ridge venting or remove broken
plastic vents for new metal ones (plastic gets damaged and broken very
quickly)

What Roofing Material Is Best?
When it comes to choosing the best material for your commercial building, the best solution is going to depend on several factors. Some of the options will have a lower upfront cost, but need to be replaced sooner. Other factors might include the amount of slope your roof has or if you’re located in an industrial zone with pollutants in the air which can degrade certain surfaces faster. Why Does My Roof Hold Water?
A low slope roof with standing water is a serious issue, but not that uncommon. Several factors can cause water to stop draining over time. One of the first things we check for in these cases is the drainage system. Debris can start to clog scuppers and drains which can possibly be remedied with a simple clean out. As water pools on a roof it can cause materials to break down and form depressions. This leads to pockets of water that never drain properly. Our solution is usually to add adequate slope and roof crickets to direct the water towards the egress points. Is My Building's Roof Leaking?
This is probably the most frequent type of call we get. Commercial roofs can be difficult to detect leaks on, but also it’s quite common. Because most buildings with a flat roof also house utilities and air conditioning units, it takes a bit of detective work to determine if the roof is leaking or a pipe is the cause of water coming in.
Poor Ventilation in low slope roofs is another cause for water damage in the decking and supporting frame. The build up over time of moisture that cannot escape can cause rot and decay as much as a leaking roof. For this reason we often suggest adding ventilation boxes to increase airflow which allows trapped moisture to escape.
